The Paxton Companies is proudly celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The story of the Paxton Companies began with a single donkey pulling a wagon, moving the families of lawmakers and their belongings onto Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
Fast forward three-quarters of a century and Paxton has grown into an international moving and logistics company providing services around the world. Now in its fourth generation of management, the Paxton family is still at the helm.
A spokesperson from the family said, “We have certainly seen our fair share of changes over the years in pursuit of our goals, from the advent of containerised cargo in the mid-50s to the current pandemic and all the unprecedented challenges we’ve seen in between. Our long history has shown us resiliency comes from learning to adapt and rise to any occasion.”
“We are proud of the name we have created for ourselves within the industry and with our clients, some of whom have been moving with Paxton for nearly our entire tenure as The Paxton Companies. We’re proud of the many milestones we have achieved together over the years; from piloting new relocation programmes and technologies for our customers, to the many memorable meetings we’ve had with partners at industry events, our new office openings supporting our mission abroad, and everything in between.”
Paxton is headquartered in Washington, DC and has domestic locations in Springfield, Manassas, and Alexandria, VA, along with international offices in Baghdad and Erbil in Iraq, Peshawar, Pakistan, Juba, South Sudan, and Singapore.
