Global employee relocation and assignment management firm CapRelo, has partnered with ecolegIT to reduce both its own and its clients’ carbon footprint.

Barry Morris, CEO of CapReloecolegIT is a sustainability program for the moving and global mobility industry that combines CO2 compensation and technology into a powerful tool. The program provides a tech solution that offsets carbon emissions through selected sustainable forestry projects that also contribute to local social and environmental goals. ecolegIT offers guaranteed offset of all carbon emissions through its unique algorithm and thorough audit of the offset. The program works with certified forestry partners that invest in internationally acknowledged sustainable forestry programmes.

The platform tracks the associated emissions for travel, moving trucks, waste, etc. and then makes a corresponding donation to a vetted non-profit organisation dedicated to reducing CO2 emissions, including preserving and growing forests. The technology will be integrated into CapRelo’s processes and provides a dashboard to make it easier to use as well as measure the impact of the offsets. CapRelo is able to provide updates to clients in real-time about their sustainability efforts, and all carbon offset credits are issued in the name of the client.

Barry Morris, CEO of CapRelo said, "We are thrilled to partner with ecolegIT to help create a more sustainable future for the global mobility industry. This partnership is a natural fit for us as we share a common goal of advancing sustainability while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our clients."

The partnership also supports and expands CapRelo’s ongoing sustainability commitment. In 2000 the company established an employee-led Sustainability Task Force, which maintains a strict policy to limit paper consumption at its offices, as well as other environmental practices impacting its buildings and surroundings. Sustainability extends to CapRelo’s supply chain, with environmental impact and sustainability efforts serving as key criteria for supplier selection.
